* - On the personal profile 5000 friends limit is applied as a joint one for friends and likes, meaning you cannot have more than 5000 of friends and likes. Once the limit is reached, the following error message will be shown on the screen when trying to connect to someone or like another page:
Friend limit reached.
Sorry, you cannot add any more friends or fan more pages without removing some first.
Group limit is independent from that one above, so it is easier to reach it with 300 groups only. Once there, you will only see thiswarning message when connecting:
You are a member of too many groups. Remove yourself from some groups and try again.
If you are interested to join more than 300 groups, there used to be a known workaround to this problem.
