At the beginning, there was little content on Facebook and many of its users created multiple fan pages and groups for things and people they favoured. Now it is a big clean-up going on. All the celebrities going after "fake" fan groups and delete them. Even if the group or page was nothing else but a group of local fans, Facebook deletes them just like that.
Trying to start any discussion or dialogue brings you nowhere. If you persist for months, all you can count on is a dummy reply from a "customer" manager. Below are four messages, it took four months to fish them out from Facebook and no any further explanation was given. The case goes about a local Ukrainian rock band and the page had just 1000+ active users who were discussing concerts etcetera. Now, the fan page is gone and communication as well.

Facebook Pages are distinct from personal profiles. Pages are for organizations, businesses, celebrities, and bands to broadcast great information to fans in an official, public manner. They are optimized for business entities’ needs to communicate, distribute content, engage their fans, and capture new audiences virally through their fans’ recommendations to their friends.
If you think your personal Facebook Profile was disabled by mistake, you can send an appeal to Facebook by visiting http://www.facebook.com/help.php?page=421 and using the link listed under the "My personal Facebook account is disabled" header.
If your Facebook Page was disabled, please reply to this email and we will be able to assist you further.
